Recreation & Fun Around Town
Galveston’s mild climate usually allows for visitors to enjoy the outdoors all year-round. Galveston Island along the Texas Gulf Coast has something for everyone, from enjoying nature, to activities, events, fun attractions and more.
beaches, birding, golfing, fishing, surfing, kayaking, biking, sightseeing as well as fun attractions and entertainment… and more.

Enjoy Nature & the Outdoors
Whether you enjoy nature walks, hiking, biking, exploring the beaches, birding, or more for water activities such as fishing, kayaking, swimming or surfing… there is something for you.
Arts & History
Believe It or Not (and we have one of those here too), but Galveston has plenty of history and art galleries for you to enjoy. It isn’t just a seawall full of beaches for the taking.
Galveston is home of The Grand 1894 Opera House, lots of history and many historic buildings and homes. (You may even find some spooky tales.)

Sightseeing & Tours
If tours and sightseeing is more your thing, no worries, there are many for your to choose from and that includes many guided tours as well as self-guided tours, similar to above.
We have plenty of ghostly tales to tell, tours by boat, food, segway, carriage or kayak. You can tour via helicopter, horse around, fishing tours, food tours, duck tours or catch some air via airboat tours.
Attractions, Fun, Festivals & Events
We would be remiss if we didn’t share the many attractions available right here on the island, from Moody Gardens, Pleasure Pier and Schlitterbahn Waterpark to museums and various events or festivals that happen throughout the year right here on the island so be sure to plan your travel/trip with these things in mind so you don’t miss out.
